Noel's Bio

Noel is a producer, writer, and director based in St. John's, Newfoundland & Labrador, Canada.

1993-1996 : Attended Niagara College film school in Welland, ON. Won 1994 GRAFITI AWARD for Best On Air Announcer at Campus Radio Niagara College. 1996 Best Overall Film Production - Less Manley. Telefest Ontario award in 1996 for the short film Newfoundland: Coming or Going?.

1996 -2000 : Worked in the Toronto film industry, mostly as an Assistant Director on a variety of projects including actors such as Will Ferrell, Anne Heche, Eric Stoltz, Sam Shepard, Tim Meadows, and Gary Busey.

2000 : Moved back to NL and wrote, directed and produced the award winning short film Colic. Festivals - Tokyo, Hamburg, Los Angeles, Toronto, Madrid, and Manchester. Awards - 2002 JVC Tokyo Festival - Bronze Plaque. 2001 Honourable Mention - Toronto Cabbagetown Film Festival. 2001-2002 National Broadcasts in Canada and the United States.

Worked as Trainee Assistant Director on the feature film Rare Birds - William Hurt, Andy Jones and Molly Parker.

2001 : Wrote, Produced and Directed the short film Zeb & Zoe.

2002 : In Los Angeles as Director's Observer on the CBS Movie of the week (MOW) Where the Red Fern Grows.

2003 - 2005 : Obtained diploma in Business Management. Received Competent Toastmaster designation in public speaking from Toastmasters International. 3rd Assistant Director on the CBC TV series Hatching Matching and Dispatching and the CBC pilot Rabbittown.

2006 : Wrote, produced and directed the short film Two or More.
Formed Chain Rock Productions. The company is developing Gros Morne as its' inaugural feature film.
